The local authorities have decided that it is certain that it will be built 12 new golf courses on Gran Canaria, in addition to the 8 golf facilities that already exist. The golfcourses found on the island today are; Real Club de Golf de Las Palmas, Las Palmeras Golf, El Cortijo Club de Campo, Oasis Golf, Maspalomas Golf, Golf Meloneras, Salobre Golf and Anfi Tauro Golf Pitch & Put.
Of the new 8 will be on the south side of the island and will be located on; El Barranco de Tirajana, Aldea Blanca, Barranco de Ayagaures, Llanos de Berriel, El Llanito, Montaña Blanca, Los Revolcadores and Las Guirreras de Arriba and 4 to the north of Las Rubiesas, San Felipe, Las Morisca and Montaña Pelada. In addition to this, it is also planned additional 7 golf courses, but there is no specific location yet.
This will certainly please all the golfplaying tourists that visit Gran Canaria every year. With these plans, the destination hope to attract some more upscale persons, that tend to leave more money on island. Anyway this is good news for everybody who loves Gran Canaria.
